Account Executive:
Responsible for generating new business revenue through season tickets, partial plans, and group tickets, and renewing and up-selling season ticket accounts via phone, networking events, and face to face presentations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Meet or exceed daily call and appointment expectations
- Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and yearly sales goals
- Handle incoming sales calls
- Prospect and qualify all potential sales opportunities
- Effectively execute sales campaigns and training set forth
- Efficiently manage workday as determined by Management
- Maintain computerized records of all clients and prospects with our CRM system
- Provide excellent customer service skills
- Assist customer service efforts during renewal campaigns
- Maintain and grow industry standard sales skills
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Required Skills, Experience & Abilities:
To perform the job successfully, the candidate should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this job.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Sports Management, Marketing or related field
- Proven track record of 1-2 years of high level success recommended
- Ability to work as a team player
- Ability to attend all home games
- Proficient in basic computer software programs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to present sales material to large groups and clients

Ticket Sales and Service Intern
Accepting applications for 2011 Fall Semester
The Boston Blazers are now accepting applications for Ticket Sales and Service Interns for the fall of 2011. General responsibilities of the position vary by season and include, but are not limited to:
- Provide support and feedback to the Blazers ticket sales staff
- Work daily in Ticketmaster CRM system
- Assist with database list generation and subsequent communication via calls, direct mail and other outbound activities
- Actively make outbound cold calls for season, group and individual tickets
- Help process ticket orders for season, group, and individual game tickets
- Assist the Marketing Department with the coordination of marketing strategies for ticket sales, special promotions, and sponsorships
- Monitor ticket sales phone line activities in absence of Account Executives
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and fans
- Ability to be successful working in a fast paced environment and be aware of deadlines and limitations put on the position
Qualifications
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Excellent organizational skills and must be detail oriented
- Outgoing personality who is willing to get their hands dirty
- Previous live event work preferred but not required
- Interest in learning about the business of professional sports
- Must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision but also able to work effectively within a team environment
- Opportunity exists to expand internship into a ticket sales role during the 2012 season
- Ability to work non-traditional hours and extended hours as needed/available (this includes nights and weekends as requested)
All candidates who apply should be knowledgeable and familiar with Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook. The opportunity exists for individuals to receive college credit for this internship, though it is not required. Recent graduates or individuals looking to break into the sports industry are encouraged to apply as well. All Blazers internships are unpaid positions and require a minimum of 20 hours of office work be completed each week.
